Netflix Picks #1

I recently renewed my Netflix subscription and I feel I'm spiralling down a hole. A hole that will make me incredibly anti-social and obsessed with TV shows. Annd I'm okay with this.

Here are some shows that are on my Netflix playlist.

1. American Horror Story

I have developed an unhealthy addiction to this show. I mean, a really bad one. You guys I finished the second season in THREE. DAYS! It is created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

Each season has a different theme with different actors and locations, including: a haunted house, asylum, witch coven, freakshow and hotel. It's an intense show but the acting and plot twists and turns are the best I have seen in a long time.

2. Orange Is The New Black

This is one of Netflix Original Series. Based on real life events of Piper Chapman, who was sentenced for 15 months of a decade old crime.

The first two seasons were very focused on the women inside the prison - the drama, the romance and the survival. The third season is more concentrated on the politics of the prison system and how it impacts the inmates and the guards working there.

I am having a harder time watching this season, it's moving slower than the rest.

3. Sons of Anarchy

Motorcyle gang. Charlie Hunnam. Katey Segal. Those three things alone should entice you to watch it. This is also an intense show with a lot of violence but the acting is top notch.

4. Pretty Little Liars

*Two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead* This show was based on the book series by the same name, written by Sara Shepherd. The show doesn't really follow the books but the premise is obviously the same. Basically, after the "leader" of their posse is murdered, four use to be besties come together again to find out who is black mailing them with their own secrets.

This show will frustrate you to no end and will rarely make any sense BUT you'll love to hate it.

PS Netflix is keeping up with the US airing, neato!

5. The Killing

This is the American adaptation of the successful Danish show. The first and second season are following the detectives solving the murder of a teenage girl. Some might feel the episode are drawn out but it is as though you are watching them in real time as they discover every clue or following every lead. You truly are part of the team as an audience member.

Any favorite shows you love to watch on Netflix?

Ksenya
